Cookie Policy
Last updated: 24 July 2026
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They allow the site to remember information about your session — for example, that you are logged in — so you do not have to sign in again every time you open a new page.
2. Cookies we use
Bonnie Dancer uses only one category of cookie:
Authentication session cookie
Set when you sign in to keep your session active. Without this cookie the app cannot identify you as a signed-in user, so it is required for the service to function. It expires when you sign out or after a period of inactivity.
We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels, or any other non-essential cookies.
3. Local storage
In addition to cookies, we use your browser's local storage to temporarily save draft competition entries. This prevents your work from being lost if you close the app before submitting. Data saved in local storage never leaves your device unless you choose to submit it.
Local storage is not a cookie and does not transmit data to any server automatically. You can clear it at any time through your browser's settings.
4. How to manage cookies
Because we only use a strictly necessary authentication cookie, you cannot opt out of it without losing the ability to sign in. However, you can control cookies through your browser settings:
- ▸Block all cookies — note that Bonnie Dancer will not function correctly without the session cookie.
- ▸Delete cookies at any time by clearing your browser's stored data.
- ▸View and manage individual cookies in your browser's developer tools or privacy settings.
Guidance on managing cookies in common browsers:
- ▸Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- ▸Safari: Settings → Safari → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- ▸Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- ▸Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if we introduce new features that change how we use cookies. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version. We will notify you within the app of any significant changes.
6. Contact
